L’attaquant de City n’a pas eu d’impact sur le derby de Manchester. Erling Haaland a eu du mal lors de la victoire 2-1 de Manchester United contre Manchester City. Le Norvégien scintille depuis qu’il a rejoint l’équipe de Pep Guardiola cet été. Il a marqué 27 buts en 24 apparitions dans toutes les compétitions.
Cependant, il n’a pas réussi à prendre pied dans le match à Old Trafford. Il a réussi deux tirs, l’un bloqué et l’autre non cadré. La menace aérienne que représente habituellement l’imposant attaquant était inexistante.
Les fans rivaux en ont ainsi profité pour se moquer brutalement de l’avant-centre sur les réseaux sociaux. Certains ont même déclaré que Manchester City semblait être moins bien loti avec lui dans l’équipe. Un fan a écrit sur Twitter : “City a signé Haaland et est complètement tombée.”
